Plan your trip from check-in to facilities!

Practical info

Here we have collected useful information and practical tips to make your holiday as easy and enjoyable as possible. Take a quick look and you will be all set.

    🕒 Opening hours

    • Reception: During high season we are open from 08:00 to 22:00.

    • Always available: Do you need accommodation outside of opening hours? We are basically always available by phone, so that anyone who needs a place to sleep gets help.

    • Updated hours: Opening hours for the restaurant and shop may vary slightly throughout the season - please ask us when you check in!

  • A bunch of keys, one heart-shaped.

    🔑 Practical information about arrival and departure

    • Check-in: From 3:00 PM.

    • Late arrival? Please let us know if you will be arriving after 6:00 PM. We also have a self-check-in machine right next to the reception that you can use.

    • Check-out: Before 12:00.

    • Keys: Delivered at reception or in the key box outside.

    • Ready to go? If you don't have any keys to hand over, just scroll on when you're ready.

  • Cozy caravan with string lights, table and chairs.

    ⚡Electricity, water and electric car charging

    • Electricity: We use European standard camping sockets (CEE plug).

    • Capacity: There is a 16A capacity. All orange, blue and pink pitches have electricity, while yellow pitches do not.

    • Electric car charging: Need power for your car? We have a charger at the entrance (next to the store). Charging is only allowed here, and you purchase access at reception.

    • Drinking water: All water in the taps in the area is safe to drink!

    • Filling your water tank? We don't have water directly at each site, but you can easily fill it with a hose from our water stations throughout the area.

  • Various recyclable waste with symbol for recycling.

    ♻️ Garbage and emptying

    • Environmental station: You will find our environmental station west of the barn.

    • Source sorting: Here you can sort cardboard and paper, glass and metal, foil plastic, batteries and light bulbs.

    • Special waste: We have separate containers for pressurized cans (such as camping gas and hairspray).

    • Deposit: Bottles and cans with a deposit naturally have their own boxes.

    • Emptying: We have separate stations for emptying both cassette toilets and grey water.

    🚿 Amenities and laundry facilities

    • Sanitary facilities: Shower and toilet are included for all our resident guests. (Passers-by can purchase shower access at reception).

    • Laundry room: Do you need to wash clothes? We have a washing machine (55,–) and dryer (70,–) available.

    • Shared kitchen: We have two shared kitchens for you to use. Both are equipped with hotplates and a dishwasher, and one also has an oven.

  • Raw chicken, salmon, milk and oatmeal placed in the convenience store at Utvika.

    🛒 24-hour convenience store and fresh bread

    • How to get in: "Snap" your card and enter your PIN at the door. When the display lights green, simply pull the door open (it will not open automatically).

    • Payment: Most cards work (we have had some challenges with Maestro, so please use Visa or Mastercard).

    • Fresh baked goods: We get fresh bread delivered to the store every single night! It's first come, first served, so no advance booking is necessary.

    • Reception: Please note that we do not sell bread at the reception itself, everything is available in the shop.

  • Man comes out of sauna at Tyrifjorden.

    ✨ Sauna by the fjord

    • Booking: You can easily book an appointment yourself via aurorasauna.no.

    • How it works: All booking and payment is done directly on the website, so you don't need to go through reception.

  • Three red canoes are lying on land at Utvika.

    🏄 Activities

    • Boat and canoe: Fancy a trip on the fjord? For now, you can book both boats and canoes directly at reception.

    • Swimming pleasure: We have a nice sandy beach that is perfect for lazy days.

    • Jump and bounce: For those who like a little excitement, we have diving boards, water trampolines and a separate floating dock out on the water.

    🐾 Animals and pets

    • Dog visiting: You are of course welcome to bring your dog on holiday with us.

    • Meet our goats: We have our own goats here on the farm who are looking forward to greeting both big and small guests!

  • Cake and vanilla ice cream in front of the "RESTAURANT OPEN" sign.

    🍕 Food and dining

    • Cafe and restaurant: Enjoy a delicious burger or pizza on our pleasant terraces. We have a varied menu suitable for the whole family.

    • Take-away: Hungry for something good in your tent or cabin? All dishes on the menu can be ordered as take-away.

    • Today's dinner: Out of season, we serve today's dinner to order (please order one day in advance).

    • Fresh baked goods: We have fresh bread delivered to our 24-hour shop every night. It's first come, first served - no reservations necessary!

    🎉 Events and fun

    • Good atmosphere: Join in on everything from cozy troubadour evenings and concerts to social pub nights in the basement.

    • For the whole family: We regularly arrange fun activities and enjoyable get-togethers for both young and old.

    • Follow along all year round: There's extra activity during Easter, the high season, the autumn holidays and the winter holidays – there's always a reason to take the trip!

    • Cabins with bathroom and kitchen: We have 7 large cabins with private bathrooms and kitchens for those who want full comfort and self-catering.

    • Classic camping cabins: We have 7 cozy cabins without bathrooms, perfect for a traditional camping holiday (sanitary facilities are located nearby).

    • Hotel rooms in the barn: We offer 11 hotel rooms with breakfast attached to our charming barn - a perfect choice for those who want to stay warm and rustic.

    • Varied size: With us you will find space for anything from 2 to 8 people, so that the whole family or group of friends can stay together.

    • Fantastic location: No matter what you choose, you'll be within easy reach of Tyrifjorden, the swimming area and our café.

    🚐 Camping, motorhome and tent

    • Pitches of all sizes: We offer campsites in 4 different sizes, so you can find the perfect spot whether you come with a tent, large trailer or camper.

    • Surface: Choose between places with warm grass or firm, firm ground.

    • All included: With us, showers are always free for staying guests!

    • Top location: Live right on the waterfront with a short walk to the beach, café and exciting attractions in the area.

    🥂 Parties, meetings and events

    • The Great Room (the barn): Rustic and modern with a fjord view. Seats 70 people for dinner, or 100 for informal gatherings.

    • The loft: Intimate and cozy with a view of the Tyrifjord – perfect as an addition to the Great Room.

    • The Pub : Real pub feel in the basement for good drinks and mingling.

    • Outdoor area: Possibility of an aperitif on the veranda or a party in a marquee with a barbecue in the garden.

    • Facilities: Modern commercial kitchen available and premises to suit all types of groups.
